ArdenCharts, operated by Arden Charts LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), operates ardencharts.com and its trading dashboard, API, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter, create an account, or contact us
Name (optional) — if you choose to provide it when subscribing
Account information — when you sign in to the dashboard, authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk (see Third-Party Services below); we receive your email address and basic account metadata from Clerk, not a separately-managed password
Dashboard data — content you create while using the Services, such as watchlists, price alerts, saved chart layouts, and custom indicators, associated with your account
Billing information — if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe (see Third-Party Services below); we do not receive or store your full card number

Information collected automatically:

Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance monitoring

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics beyond what is described here.

How We Use Your Information

Providing the Services — operating your account, syncing your watchlists/alerts/layouts across devices, and processing subscription payments
Newsletter delivery — we use your email address to send market data digests, product updates, and other content you subscribed to
Security — server logs help us detect and respond to abuse or unauthorized access
Support — if you contact us, we use your information to respond to your inquiry

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

Clerk — provides authentication and account sign-in for the dashboard. Clerk's privacy policy applies: clerk.com/privacy
Stripe — processes payments for paid subscriptions. Stripe receives your payment details directly and handles them under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
Cloudflare Turnstile — used on our subscription form for bot protection. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Printful — if you purchase merchandise through our store (ardencharts.printful.me), your order information is handled by Printful under their privacy policy

Email Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will receive periodic emails from us. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing [email protected].

Data Retention

We retain your email address and subscription preferences for as long as your subscription is active. Upon unsubscribing, your data is removed from our mailing list within 30 days. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., unsubscribe)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"), gives you additional rights over the personal information we collect about you, including the right to:

Request deletion of your personal information
Correct inaccurate personal information
Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. To exercise any CCPA/CPRA right, contact us at [email protected]; we will verify your request using the email address associated with your account before responding.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

In accordance with CalOPPA, this page identifies the categories of personal information we collect (see "Information We Collect" above), is linked from every page of our Site, and states its own effective date at the top. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no common industry standard for doing so has been adopted. As noted above, we do not share the personal information we collect with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

International Users

ArdenCharts is based in the United States, and our Services are directed to and intended for use by individuals located in the United States. We do not knowingly offer our Services to, or process the personal data of, individuals located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and this Privacy Policy is not intended to serve as a GDPR or UK GDPR Article 13/14 notice. If you are located in one of these regions, please do not use our Services; if we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from someone in one of these regions, we will delete it.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
